THE COMMITTMENT PRINCIPLE:  Personal commitments that individuals record during a campaign are statements of their financial intentions. Commitments are between individuals and God alone, but they also provide a way to register the purpose of our hearts. Spiritual commitments are a first step towards systematic generosity.
